We swam with sunken WWII ships; we watched planes land in our backyard; we sung "Country Road" very loudly in the mountains of West Virginia; we descended 400+ feet into a cave in Kentucky; we had the siding of our of RV blown off in a thunderstorm WHILE DRIVING through Indiana; we tried to park in the city of St. Louis (did not go well) and went to the most epic kids museum I could imagine; we got bit by flies in the breathtaking prairies of Kansas; we saw friends and family; we loved Colorado even more than we thought we would; we swam in Jackson Lake in the Tetons; we watched Old Faithful erupt in Yellowstone; we saw mountain goats; we drove Beartooth Highway and prayed we would make it up each mountain; we saw prairie dogs and buffalo at Wind Cave; we were greeted (from our vehicle) by a rattlesnake as we entered the Badlands; we made pen pals; we saw Rushmore and a yellow bellied marmot; we listened to the Wizard of Oz on Yoto 294 times; we touched the Mississippi and swam in Lake Minnetonka and Lake Michigan; we visited 11 National Parks and drank mostly Capri Sun. In short, it was full of adventure and the unexpected and lots of beautiful moments and views.
